■Product description
Model GIR-10 is a gas detector capable of measuring down to very low concentrations of SF6 gas to detect leakage of SF6 gas into the atmosphere.
■Infrared technology
The GIR10 uses NDIR (non-dispersive infrared absorption sensor technology) to provide fast response times and reliable measurements even for small leakage volumes.
■Easy operation
This model is a measuring instrument that is easy to operate and achieves high reproducibility. Both the handheld device and the control console are equipped with digital screens for easy measurement. The concentration of SF6 gas can be measured at various locations and the concentration will be displayed.
The detection end is located in the S-tube at the tip of the handheld device. A replaceable filter protects the infrared sensor from dirt and foreign matter. The control console side has a built-in suction pump that automatically sucks in the appropriate flow rate into the measurement chamber of the infrared sensor.
If it is known in advance that a small amount of SF6 gas is present in the measurement target, it is possible to correct the zero point so that the concentration at that time is "0 ppmv" (offset function). This makes it possible to confirm that ``SF6 gas is leaking more clearly than usual.'' Depending on the specifications, it is also possible to generate an alarm sound when an abnormal concentration is detected.
