■Gas density monitoring of power equipment
Gas density is an important operating parameter for high voltage equipment. If the required gas density is not present, safe operation of the switchgear cannot be guaranteed. GDS-RC-HV reliably issues a contact switch alarm even under harsh environmental conditions if the gas density falls below the set value due to gas leakage from the switchgear.
■Operating principle
The GDS-RC-HV operates according to the principle of reference chamber filled gas. The reference chamber gas fill allows accurate isovolume contact switching over the entire temperature range. Temperature changes and atmospheric pressure fluctuations do not affect measurements.
■Highest switchgear safety through self-diagnosis
Welded reference chamber provides very high long-term stability and eliminates drift. In the unlikely event that a leak occurs in the reference chamber, the device switching signals reliably alert the switchgear operator. This gas density switch is maintenance free.
■Support for SF6 alternative gas
The GDS-RC-HV can be used with all kinds of alternative gases and provides accurate isovolume contact switching of these gases without being affected by temperature.
