About This Product

■Product description

Type thermometers with switch contacts are available when you need to indicate the process temperature in the field or in difficult-to-access locations, and at the same time you need to switch circuits. Thanks to the wide variety of designs available, the model TGS73 gas thermometer can be perfectly adapted to your process connection and location. Adjustable stem and dial version allows you to precisely adjust the case to your desired viewing angle. The contact bulb version (without direct contact with the medium) allows you to measure and control the temperature even with very small pipe diameters. Contact valves are for external installation on pipes and tanks. When installing this thermometer version, you must ensure that the contact valve is in contact with the 6 measurement points along its entire length A switch contact (electrical alarm contact) opens or closes a circuit depending on the position of the pointer on the indicating meter. The switch contacts are adjustable over the entire measurement range. The instrument pointer (actual value pointer) moves freely throughout the scale range, regardless of settings. The settings pointer can be adjusted in the window using a removable adjustment key (attached to the terminal box). Switch contacts consisting of multiple contacts can also be configured to a single set point. The contact is actuated when the actual value pointer moves above or below the desired setpoint. Magnetic snap-action contacts, inductive contacts, and electronic contacts are available as switch contacts. Inductive contacts can be used in hazardous areas. Electronic contacts can be used to trigger programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
