About This Product
■Product description
Resistance thermometers without thermowells are particularly suitable for mounting the metal sensor tip directly into a borehole (such as in a mechanical component) or inside a process in any application other than corrosive or abrasive chemical media. When attaching to a thermowell, we recommend a compression fitting with a spring so that the sensor tip touches the bottom of the thermowell. Otherwise, excessive force may be applied to the tip of the measuring part. Usually connected directly to the process. Fixing members such as fixing screws and union nuts are available as options.
The flexible part of the sensor is an inorganic insulated cable (sheathed cable), which has a high-density ceramic compressed inside a stainless steel sheath with a lead wire inside and is insulated. The measurement resistor is directly connected to the lead wire inside the sheathed cable. Therefore, it is most suitable for use in high temperature zones. Except for the connection cable between the sensor chip and the conversion section, the layered resistance thermometer is flexible and can be bent up to three times the cable diameter, making it possible to install it even in difficult locations.
■Please be careful.
Flexible sheathed resistance thermometers should be used with caution in areas where the flow velocity is relatively high. Optionally, a WIKA analog or digital transmitter can be fitted to the connection head.
