■Product description
Thermometers without protection tubes have a small shape and are suitable for inserting the sensor tip (measuring part) directly into mechanical parts. In order to reduce errors in temperature measurement, we recommend creating a borehole at the location you want to measure and inserting it there. However, thermometers without a protective tube are not suitable for use in locations that are corrosive or require mechanical strength.
For installation inside the thermowell, a spring-loaded compression fitting is supplied to ensure that the sensor chip touches the bottom of the thermowell. Otherwise, excessive force may be applied only to the measuring tip. Installation is usually done directly in the process. Fixing members such as fixing screws and union nuts are available as options.
The flexible part of the sensor is an inorganic insulated cable (MI sheathed cable).The surface of this part is protected by stainless steel (stainless steel sheath). There is a temperature measurement element and lead wire inside, which are insulated from the stainless steel sheath by placing high-density ceramic. This structure makes it suitable for measuring high temperatures. Optionally, an analog or digital transmitter from the WIKA range can be fitted to the connection head.
