About This Product
■Product description
WIKA inductive contact device is a non-contact device. Basically it consists of an initiator located at a nominal value pointer, including fully potted electronics and a mechanical structure with movable control vanes. The control vanes are moved by the instrument pointer (nominal value pointer).
The initiator is supplied with DC voltage. When the control vane moves into the clearance of the initiator, its internal resistance increases (=actuated state/initiator has high resistance). The resulting change in current rating is the input signal to the switching amplifier of the control device.
■904.30 for 1 inductive contact, safety device (SN or S1N), output
1 x fail-safe relay output, 1 x serial output output. 1 x passive electronic output
■Control unit with DC 20 30 V power supply
・Model 904.31 - 1 relay output
・Model 904.32 - 2 relay outputs
・Model 904.33 - 1 failsafe relay output
■Applications
Instruments with WIKA inductive contact devices can be used in hazardous areas of Zone 1 and 2 and in work rooms with a risk of explosion (WIKA control devices, e.g. type 904.15). Besides the Ex area, WIKA's inductive contact devices are used where switching frequency is high and safe operation is important. The contacts function with liquid filling, so they can be used even under very specific operating conditions. Among the typical application areas are chemical, petrochemical, and nuclear facilities.
