■Application range
All connection sets include various test couplings for adapting WIKA calibration products to existing processes with quick-release couplings from the MINIMESS® 1620 or MINIMESS® 1215 series. Specification selection and quantity are specifically configured for various WIKA calibration products.
■Two connection sets for different system applications
Test couplings 1620 series and connections 1215 are frequently used. This number refers to the thread size of the test coupling connection, where 1620 is M16 x 2 and 1215 is M12 x 1.5.
For this reason, WIKA offers both systems as one connection set each.
■Different adapter types
The components of both sets are divided into four categories. The test coupling has a series-specific male thread on one side and a BSP or NPT male thread on the other. The coupling is also equipped with a non-return valve. Direct connections for measuring instruments have a series-specific female thread on one side and a metal stem inside. This metal mandrel serves to open the non-return valve of the test coupling.
The hose adapter has a series-specific male thread on both sides. Unlike couplings, they do not have a built-in non-return valve, making them ideal for connecting two hoses. The measurement hose has female threads on both sides.
