About This Product

Version 10 of the DFA (Design for Assembly) software, which has been used by 850 users worldwide since its first release in 1982, has been released. In version 10, we've updated the software's user interface to help you focus on analysis and product redesign for part count reduction.

■New model of DFA10

- Now you can perform analysis by answering only the most important DFA questions regarding assembly methods and component handling. In version 9, it was necessary to verify symmetry in two directions when assembling parts, but in version 10, when assembling parts, you only need to enter the number of axes with a rotation angle of 180 degrees or less. is. The software automatically calculates assembly time based on research results from the University of Rhode Island. ・Improved external interfaces make it easier to import CAD data and parts lists. ・Software assists in product redesign. By considering product redesign in the order of categories 1 to 3, which indicate the size of the cost reduction effect, you can achieve effective cost reductions in a short time. Category 1: Candidates for parts reduction other than screw connectors Category 2: Candidates for reducing screw connector parts Category 3: Parts that are difficult to handle and assemble Additionally, the DFA worksheet and parts list have been integrated, making it easier to move back and forth between the two worksheets. - It is now possible to group parts by function (function groupings). This makes it possible to compare product functions, cost ratios for each assembly, and degree of improvement after redesign by function. ・It is now possible to create a table format custom report. - You can now print multiple reports at once. Version 10 also added a full "Redo" and "Undo" buttons.
