About This Product

BUMAX is a high-strength stainless steel bolt developed for the purpose of design improvement (downsizing and weight reduction). We use Swedish austenitic steel SUS316L material, without heat treatment, and through heading and rolling during the bolt manufacturing process, we have ensured a strength of 8.8 and 10.9, equivalent to that of steel bolts.

■High strength: 4 times the proof strength of SUS304 (A2-50) and 2 times that of SUS316 (A4-70)Although it is made of stainless steel, BUMAX satisfies the same strength class 10.9 as steel bolts, and is four times stronger and twice as strong (yield strength ).
BUMAX has been able to downsize the 20mm diameter bolt design of SUS304 (A2-50) to 10mm diameter, achieving a weight reduction of one-fourth.

■Corrosion resistance: No corrosion occurred even after 10 years of testing in marine environment.BUMAX has obtained better results than SUS after 10 years of atmospheric exposure in coastal areas, and has proven three times more corrosion resistant than SUS316 in a 20% sulfuric acid corrosion test. Guaranteed 30 years of corrosion resistance even when used on ships exposed to the sea. We guarantee overwhelming corrosion resistance that surpasses other stainless steel bolts.

■Heat resistance: Guaranteed maximum operating temperature in the atmosphere of 600℃SUS304/SUS316 can normally be used up to 400℃, but BUMAX can be used up to 600℃, which is 50% higher. For stainless steel bolts whose strength is increased by heat treating martensitic materials, the maximum operating temperature is set at 200℃, one-third of BUMAX.
Here too, the high-strength stainless steel bolt BUMAX exhibits outstanding heat resistance compared to all stainless steel bolts.

■Non-magnetic: Magnetic permeability 1.006 (Bumax 88) Outstanding non-magneticOne of the characteristics of stainless steel is that it is non-magnetic. The closer the magnetic permeability is to 1.000, the more non-magnetic it is. Even SUS304 (A2-70) (which does not stick to magnets) has a magnetic permeability of 1.400, so you can see that BUMAX has excellent non-magnetic properties with a magnetic permeability of 1.006. BUMAX can be used with confidence in various precision electronic devices that require a non-magnetic environment.
