About This Product
When press-fitted, the hexagonal flange deforms and flows the base material, causing it to flow into the tapered part. This creates a strong punching force and high torque at the hexagonal part.
Stainless steel screws can be embedded into aluminum plates using regular pneumatic or hydraulic presses. No special tools required. Even after embedding, there will be no protrusions on the front or back side of the aluminum plate.
■Installation
Press-fitted using conventional equipment (standard press machine).
1.Drill the specified mounting hole.
(Note) At this time, do not remove any burrs or other base material from the mounting hole on the mounting side, and just press fit.
2. Insert the guide part (pilot part) of the cell panel fastener into the installation hole.
3. Apply pressure with a press until the hexagonal flange is flush with the mating base material.
■Reliability
High punching force and rotational torque can be obtained.
- By press-fitting, the hexagonal flange plastically deforms the mating plate material and is fixed around the reversely tapered shank, resulting in high punching force.
- The hexagonal flange section displaces the mating metal in a hexagonal shape, so high rotational torque can be obtained.
