About This Product

PointShape Inspector is an inspection tool that aligns point cloud data obtained with a 3D scanner and design data (CAD model) to measure dimensions and compare cross sections. Differences can be confirmed by comparing scan data and design data, which can be used to inspect final products. As 3D scanners become more popular, more and more users are requesting comparisons with CAD data. However, due to the high cost of comparative testing software, it did not become popular. The new PointShape Inspector supports a variety of synthesis and analysis tools, and is available at a low price for designers to use freely. PointShape Inspector can create comparison/inspection reports (PDF).

■Main functions

・Supports major CAD file formats such as 3DS Max, Maya, Siemens NX, Catia V5, Pro Engineer, SolidWorks, IGES, STEP, etc. ・Create a mesh from CAD (tessellation, mesh optimization) ・Create auxiliary geometry (point, line, circle, plane, cylinder, cone, sphere) ・Measurement: distance, angle, radius, area, volume ・Creation of inspection report in PDF format
