■Features

Transformers also utilize inductors (usually called coils). A transformer is made up of multiple coils that are magnetically coupled (mutually induced).The input coil is called the primary coil, and the output coil is called the secondary coil. It has a structure in which the primary and secondary coils (windings) are wound around a common iron core. The voltage applied to the primary side is induced through the iron core to the secondary side, where electrical energy is converted. *Changing the voltage using a transformer is called transformation, increasing the voltage is called boosting, and conversely decreasing the voltage is called bucking.

- Used in transformers on utility poles that supply electricity to homes by transforming and adjusting the high voltage electricity produced at power plants. -Widely used to convert electrical power. - They are used in a variety of places and play a very important role, such as in the electrical circuits of electrical appliances, AC adapters, and power transformers for mechanical equipment.
