About This Product

■SunS Flex Shaft

Flexible shafts are used in industry as an excellent means of transmitting rotational power to distant locations. Ball bearings are used for bearings.

■Advantages

- Rotates quietly and smoothly, and does not easily generate vibration or heat. It can be said to be the most high-performance type. - Compatible with all low, medium, and high speed rotations, and especially exerts power at medium and high speed rotations.

■Disadvantages

・The cost can be said to be high because there are many parts and a certain degree of precision is required for the metal parts. -Ball bearings are weak against radial loads, so they are not suitable for applications where loads are applied directly to the shaft. ・When used in reverse rotation (for example, rotating a right-handed version to the left), the allowable transmission torque drops to 60%. *Double rotation is also available, but it must be used with a large bending radius (approximately R≧50d, where d is the diameter of the inner shaft).
