Endosafe nexgen-PTS equipment

■Make endotoxin testing faster and easier

Endotoxin is a component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria, and its main body is lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Endotoxins are also sometimes called pyrogens. If even a small amount enters the bloodstream, it can cause biological reactions such as fever, so controlling contamination of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment has become an important issue. Endosafe®nexgen-PTS™ is a revolutionary endotoxin testing system that allows you to quickly and easily perform endotoxin tests that require time-consuming preparation and operation. Endotoxin testing can be easily performed by simply dropping the sample into a cartridge containing all the necessary reagents (lysate reagent, synthetic color substrate, and endotoxin standard). Please use this product only for research purposes, and do not use it for medical purposes, clinical diagnosis, or food use for humans or animals. Product features

■Easy preparation and quick measurement

・Measurement takes a minimum of 15 minutes per sample (approximately 5 to 10 minutes is required to warm up the instrument) ・No need to create a calibration curve (endotoxin standard product is enclosed in the cartridge) ・Sample volume required for measurement is 100μL (25μL x 4 lanes) ・US FDA approved product (July 2006) *Not compatible with Japanese Pharmacopoeia ・In addition to endotoxin testing, we also carry cartridges compatible with β-glucan testing.

■Measurement principles and methods

・Endosafe®nexgen-PTS™ system consists of a reader (measurement part) and a cartridge (sample addition part) - Based on the kinetic colorimetric method that measures the time it takes for the color intensity of each sample to reach a threshold value ・The cartridge has 4 lanes, all of which contain synthetic chromogenic substrate and lysate reagent (Limulus Amebocyte Lysate, LAL). ・Two out of four lanes contain endotoxin standards and are used as spike lanes (Positive Product Controls) to calculate spike recovery rates.
