A "coater" is a device that accurately coats copper foil, aluminum foil, or film with a composite material to a certain thickness. Our products have three types of coating methods: comma head method, die head method, and gravure head method. We have a wide range of options, and depending on your needs, we will select the necessary options and provide the appropriate coating equipment.

■Device configuration

The equipment configuration can be roughly divided into four parts: the transport section (unwinding/winding), the coating section, the drying oven, and the operation panel.

■Comma head type

There are two types of comma head type. Two roll type and three roll type.

■Die head type

・The die head type uses a pump to supply the set amount of material to the die head from the mixed material in the tank. ・The coating thickness is determined by the pump feed rate, adjustment of the die head and die head slit width, coating roll clearance, and foil feed speed. ・Although this configuration diagram shows a pump type, there is also a pressure feeding method that applies pressure to a tank and sends the material to the die head via a valve without using a pump.

■Gravure head type

The gravure head method is a method in which a coating liquid is applied to an engraved roll, and a blade is used to scrape off the coating, leaving an appropriate amount in the indentations of the engraving, and the accumulated coating liquid is transferred to the base material to form a thin film. Mainly suitable for thin film coating.

■ Confirm the material to be coated [roll width is determined here. ]

・Width of base material (metal foil/film) ・Coating width (width to apply slurry) ・Viscosity (Viscosity of slurry. Unit: m㎩・s (cps) *Depending on the viscosity, it may be necessary to consider and propose a coating head.)
