About This Product
■What is Metri Tape?
Manufactured using advanced technology, the Metric Tape has a resistance wire wrapped uniformly at 1,000 Ω/m over the entire measurement length, and is measured by pushing the resistance wire against the liquid pressure. The resolution is only ±3mm. This simple and unique level meter is widely used in a variety of industries.
It has excellent durability and can be used in various environments such as corrosive and liquid level conditions. Additionally, it is very easy to maintain and has a long lifespan.

■Metri tape operating principle
- Nichrome wire (resistance wire) is wound at a rate of 1,000Ω/m, and the outside of the sensor is pushed by liquid pressure.
・The nichrome wire contacts the base strip (below the liquid level). In this case, a discrepancy will occur between the actual liquid level and the measurement point. This is called the starting point, and the correction in the transducer indicates the actual liquid level.
・The resistance value of the non-contact part above the liquid level is output as a liquid level signal. Furthermore, as the liquid level changes, the resistance value changes accordingly.
■Features of Metri Tape
In the field of general industry, the following features can be mentioned.
■Excellent durability
The measurement sensor has a lifespan of around 20 years for wastewater and 10 to 20 years for corrosive liquids.
■Excellent maintenance management and easy installation and removal
Basically, this product requires only replacing the sensor filter once every four years or so. Additionally, there is little need for maintenance. Simple mechanism with no moving parts, easy to manage on site
■Can be adapted to a wide range of liquid level conditions and installation environments.
Unaffected by liquid surface conditions such as foaming, rippling (stirring, etc.), floating objects, viscosity, vapor, and light reflection. Can accommodate a wide range of tank internal pressures and operating temperatures.
■A wide variety of liquids that can be measured
More than half of our deliveries are for wastewater and waste liquid, but we also handle chemicals such as caustic soda and hypochlorous acid. Among past deliveries, it has been used for more than 30 types of liquids.

Basically, installation is required, but in some cases it is not necessary if a weight is attached to the end of the measurement sensor. However, if there are ripples, bubbles, or floating objects on the liquid surface, it is necessary to install a protection tube. |
