About This Product

■Summary

The smart counter SC16 is a high-speed counter that inputs a 2-phase encoder signal and measures distance, angle, and speed. There are 2 lines of 16 digits displayed, so the position of the 2-axis stage (X, Y stage, etc.) can be counted and displayed from 1 nm to a maximum of 10 m. The following operations are performed depending on the parameter selection.

- Convert and display units. (encoder count, nm, μm, degrees, minutes, seconds, μrad, RPM) ・Displays the position of 2 axes (X axis, Y axis) at the same time. - If only one encoder circuit is used, the position and rotation speed or movement speed will be displayed at the same time. The SC16ZLH2 is a model with twice the frequency response of the SC16, and a function that allows the counter reset input and counter latch input to be operated externally (TTL level). Features

■Low price

Low cost has been achieved by using CPLD in the control circuit.

■Small and lightweight

It can be used by attaching it to a panel, etc. Height 40mm, width 150mm, depth 35mm

■Fast response

・SC16: Encoder input can count up to 10M counts/sec. ・SC16ZLH2: Encoder input can count up to 20M counts/sec.

■16 digits 2 lines display

Can display up to 10m with 1nm resolution. In addition, 2-line display and 2-axis display are also possible.

■Communication function

・SC16: Outputs count data externally via RS232C connection. ・SC16ZLH2: Outputs count data externally via USB connection.

■Applications

XY stage position display, rotary encoder angle display, linear scale length measurement display, spindle motor speed display, etc.
