About This Product

■Product overview

C/C composite (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Carbon Composite) is carbon fiber reinforced with carbon, and has excellent properties such as light weight, high strength, and high elasticity. Due to its unique features, C/C composites (CX series) are used in a wide range of fields such as electronics, environment and energy, general industrial furnaces, and automobile transportation equipment.

■High strength, high elasticity, and high toughness.

Compared to isotropic graphite material, it is a material that has higher strength, is less flexible, and is less likely to crack or chip. Also, you can use it with confidence because destruction does not progress rapidly. ・High strength: strength is approximately 3 to 4 times that of isotropic graphite ・High elasticity: elastic modulus is approximately 5 times that of isotropic graphite ・High toughness: Fracture does not progress rapidly Note) However, since C/C composite is an anisotropic material, care must be taken regarding the direction.

■Super heat-resistant material

It has higher strength at high temperatures than metal materials, and can be used at extremely high temperatures of over 2,000℃ in an inert atmosphere.

■Lightweight and has excellent handling properties

It has a lower density than metal materials and can be made lighter.

■High thermal conductivity

Thanks to our superior carbon structure control technology using CVI treatment, we have achieved heat conductivity that exceeds that of copper.

■Electronics related Single crystal silicon manufacturing

・Silicon wafers are the raw material for IC chips. The melting temperature in the manufacturing process is extremely high at approximately 1,500°C, but C/C composites have excellent heat resistance and are lightweight, so as wafer diameters continue to increase, the switch from isotropic graphite is increasing. ・It is possible to pull up crystals with large diameters using a small device that can be made thinner. ・By adjusting the orientation of the fibers, it is possible to design a quartz crucible or to withstand the thermal expansion difference during solidification of silicon.

■General industrial furnace related heat treatment

・C/C composite is a carbon composite material reinforced with high-strength carbon fiber to improve the strength and thermal shock resistance of carbon materials. -The specific gravity of C/C composite heat treatment trays is approximately 1/5 that of metal trays, making them easy to handle. In addition, its strength at 1,000℃ is approximately 10 times that of steel, and its thermal deformation is low, contributing to improved packing efficiency and reduced running costs.
