About This Product

■Summary explanationIn 1955, we manufactured and sold a large number of BABA cocks for the first time. Currently, most valves have been changed to ball valves and butterfly valves, but we deliver them with fluid specifications that require a cock.

Please use this jacket valve for fluids that are highly sticky or easily solidify at room temperature, but become more fluid when heated.

■Overview of the cookIt has an oval hole in the conical plug, and the fluid flow can be fully opened or closed by rotating the handle 90 degrees. Generally used either fully closed or fully open. Depending on the three-way cock system, various flows can be switched at will. The standard cock type closure (plug) is conical (tapered) and does not require lubrication. However, it comes with grease when delivered.

■History of cookThe original form of the cock appears to have been made around 2,000 years ago during the Roman era, when bronze cocks were used for water taps. It is thought that until modern times, cock-type valves were used in most cases where valves were needed.

■Structure and shape of jacket cockThe jacket (steam part) is made by casting the cock body and jacket together with uniform gaps over the entire surface of the cock body, so there are no welded parts and the jacket part is complete. The new mechanism allows for smooth opening and closing operations. The pipe connection hole has an inlet on one side of the valve box and lid (with jacket), an outlet on the other side, and a drain hole at the bottom. There are two types: all (full) type and semi-type.
