About This Product
■Equipment overview
Merex-D is a non-contact displacement measuring device that uses a diffused laser. While possessing the advantages of conventional laser measuring instruments, we have achieved significant improvements in obstruction resistance and safety, which had been an issue in the past.
Conventional non-contact measurements utilize total stations, but one of the issues was that continuous measurements required surveyors to go to the site, resulting in high costs. In addition, the automatic tracking systems developed in recent years are precision instruments that are very expensive and pose a risk of theft when installed outdoors. Merex-D solves the problem of increasing measurement frequency and lowering costs. I achieved both.
■Main usage locations
・Simple measurement of dangerous slope areas, landslide observation, etc.
・Safety management of cutting, etc. during construction
・Maintenance and management of civil engineering structures (bridges, tunnels, steel towers, retaining walls, internal displacement, etc.)
・Measurement is possible even in places where people cross roads, etc., and where there is foot traffic.
■Realization of automatic continuous observation
By conducting automatic continuous observations at a higher frequency, we can expect to obtain values that were previously invisible (for example, data on the correlation between the displacement of slopes and structures and hourly rainfall).
■Ability not found in conventional equipment
・Measurement distance (baseline length) is 7m to 140m
・Display resolution is 0.1mm
・Measurement accuracy is ±2.0mm (depends on actual usage environment)
・Measurement interval can be selected from "1/5/10/30 minutes, 1/6/12/24 hours"
■Diffused laser that is less affected by obstructions
By diffusing the normal laser beam and widening the spot diameter, stable measurement is possible even in environments with obstructions such as rain, snow, and grass leaves. The beam diameter of the laser beam is approximately 200 mm at a distance of 100 m.
■Improved safety
Although it uses a class 2 laser beam, the laser beam is diffused, so the design takes into consideration the effects on the human body (eyes).
■Simple configuration
Consisting only of the main body and a reflector, it can be easily installed and removed even in places where measurements are difficult or dangerous.
■Equipped with alarm output function
If a preset reference value (tilt angle) is exceeded, warnings such as sirens and red lights can be output. Alarm output judgment is performed at each measurement interval.
■Measurement principle
The light emitted from Merex-D is reflected by a reflector, and the baseline length is measured from the difference between the irradiated wave and the reflected wave of the laser beam. By continuously repeating measurements, the reliability of measured values has also been improved.
