About This Product

■Summary

Polyethylene foam is the hardest foam available. Recommended for packaging materials, core materials, protectors, DIY, kids mats, insulation materials, bottom plates of tool cases, shock absorbers for floors, waterproof packing materials, spacers, etc.

■Processing method

If it is up to 1cm thick, we recommend cutting it with scissors (preferably ones with long blades). Using scissors, it is relatively easy to process not only straight lines but also curved lines. When cutting with a utility knife, use a ruler and cut slowly. If you cut it with a special machine in the factory, the cross section will be very smooth. However, if you cut it with scissors or a utility knife, blade marks will remain on the cross section. Polyethylene foam, which is quite hard, is hard and has a low elongation rate, so it can be ground down with sandpaper or a mini grinder. It is possible to make the cut surface smooth or round the edges. Sandpaper with a grit of 100 to 240 is suitable for sanding, and a grit of 600 or higher is recommended for finishing polishing. A rubber-based adhesive is recommended for bonding polyethylene foam. When applying the adhesive, apply it to both sides of the surfaces to be bonded, rather than just one, so that the adhesive adheres to each other for a stronger bond. You can also attach double-sided tape. After pasting, it can be firmly bonded by crimping.

■Notes

・This product is easily scratched, so we will try to package it as much as possible to prevent scratches, but we ask for your understanding that some scratches may occur. Also, please be careful when handling it. ・Depending on the degree of foaming, the product may have uneven color. The degree of foaming is slightly different between the middle part of the sponge and the surrounding parts, so uneven coloring will inevitably occur. Please understand that there is no problem with the quality. ・This product will be ordered from the manufacturer after receiving your order, and processing will be carried out after the material is received. For this reason, we may not be able to respond to delivery dates until the next day or later, or delivery times may be delayed compared to other materials.
