About This Product

In order to meet the on-site needs for cylinder block machining, we have put into practical use a combined machining line that combines boring and honing.

■Cost reduction

By switching the coolant used during honing from oil-based to water-soluble, which is the same as during boring cutting, and by consolidating the processes that generate chips, equipment costs such as coolant tanks and cleaning machines can be reduced.

■High precision processing

Bore diameter 1 rank (12μm) Can be machined with high accuracy within tolerance.

■High efficiency processing

Finishes the bore of a 4-cylinder cylinder block with a cycle time of 0.8 minutes.

■Space saving

The total length of the machine can be shortened to 10m. Compared to conventional models, space can be reduced by 37%.

■Environment resistance

By performing honing with a water-soluble coolant, the operating environment is significantly improved compared to conventional oil-based coolants.

■Random production

By using a variable diameter quill (patent pending), cylinder blocks with two different diameters can be produced randomly within the cycle time.
