Epson's LCD drivers began as display ICs for digital clocks and have continued to drive the display panels of mobile phones around the world. The technology that has been cultivated over many years has been passed down to the current lineup. It has a built-in low current consumption liquid crystal drive power supply, display data memory, and oscillation circuit, allowing you to create a display system with a minimum chip configuration.
■Segment LCD driver (S1D15100 series)
The display data transferred from the microcontroller is stored in the built-in display RAM (1 bit corresponds to 1 bit) and drives the LCD panel. Built-in RAM enables LCD display with ultra-low power consumption.
■Hybrid LCD driver (S1D15K01 series)
This is a hybrid LCD driver IC that can be directly connected to a microcontroller, and can display segment display and dot matrix display simultaneously on one LCD panel.
