About This Product

Three features of inkjet heads

■Discharge ink accurately and at high speed

It is possible to stably eject accurate ink droplets that are close to a perfect circle at the targeted location. In addition, it is capable of high-speed ejection of up to 50,000 shots per second, resulting in beautiful and speedy prints.

■Compact and highly expandable

We offer a rich lineup with a high degree of freedom in layout. The S series, which uses an S-shaped design, allows you to freely adjust the printing width by laying them out in parallel.

■High precision and stable quality

In the manufacturing and inspection process of our mainstay PrecisionCore printhead, we apply the technology we have cultivated in our own semiconductor manufacturing and watch assembly to achieve integrated domestic production. We deliver inkjet heads with high precision and stable quality to our customers. Epson's core technology achieves overwhelmingly high quality

■Thin film piezo technology

Epson's PrecisionCore printhead is equipped with a 1㎛ thin film piezo (TFP) developed and manufactured in-house using materials and manufacturing methods in the actuator that drives ink ejection. This extremely thin and uniform piezo actuator has a large voltage-induced contraction (displacement amount) with little variation in performance, making it possible to achieve precise ink ejection performance despite its small size.

■MEMS technology

Epson's MEMS technology is an ultra-high-precision photolithographic stacking technology that achieves submicron-level precision in three dimensions. This technology makes it possible to create small, high-density nozzles, supporting precise ink ejection control at the picoliter level (a pico is 1/1 trillionth) and highly accurate landing accuracy.

■Ultra-high precision assembly technology

Epson's inkjet heads achieve ultra-high precision assembly using in-house robot technology that originated from automated watch assembly lines. We consistently achieve high quality through clean rooms, automation using robots, and automatic inspection using image analysis.
