About This Product

The Syntham 5000 is a ground support instrument that can measure vibration levels in helicopter engines and adjust the track and balance of helicopter main rotors, tail rotors, or any type of propeller or rotating body. The Syntham 5000 is extremely versatile, easy to use and has a wide range of uses, making it the ideal maintenance equipment.

■Balance function

Measured data is stored in the built-in compact flash memory. A visualization module allows users to review recorded measurements. ・This function can be used for all rotating equipment such as rotors, propellers or transmission shafts, fans, and generators. -For helicopters, you can start measuring balance by simply selecting the rotor type (main or tail) and measurement conditions. The measurement results are reflected directly on the pie chart. ・The maximum value of vibration is shown on the X-axis, and the phase of the speed signal and vibration signal is shown on the Y-axis.

■Tracking function

- Syntham5000 uses a camera to measure blade tracking. The camera can be directly connected to the junction box for easy installation. No special preparations such as installing a reflector are required when using the camera. -Data from the camera can be displayed and recorded on Syntham5000. Main and tail rotor rotation speeds are displayed in real time.

■Features of vibration measurement

This function allows measurement in GlobalMode and FilterMode. Global Mode allows the signal strength to be measured over the entire frequency range of the engine speed, and FilterMode allows the signal strength to be measured according to the engine rotational speed. - Verification of vibration level using tachometer signal as reference. For example, one from a gas generator and the other from a power turbine. ・No additional equipment required. ・Identify the origin of vibration by displaying the critical speed ・If the level exceeds the limit, a warning will be issued. ・Alarm will be issued even if the level is low. ・Simplified user interface ・Display engine rotation speed as a bar graph ・Measurement values ​​are saved to Syntham5000's internal memory or USB memory. ・Operator can view saved graphs again
