Blue light refers to the range of visible light from 380nm to 495nm (nanometers). It has the highest energy among all visible light and reaches the retina without being absorbed by the cornea or crystalline lens of the eye. LEDs, which have become popular in recent years, contain a lot of this blue light and are used in computer monitors, portable game consoles, smartphone displays, etc.
It has been pointed out that if you continue to expose your eyes to this blue light, there is a risk of retinal damage and various other harmful effects.
■Uses ECO material called TAC
This lens is made of triacetylcellulose called TAC, which is a biologically derived plastic material synthesized from cellulose (carbohydrate) extracted from cotton. It has excellent transparency, heat resistance, weather resistance, heat resistance, and high strength, and is also characterized by high water permeability, no optical anisotropy, and low birefringence.
Of course, since the raw material is a natural product, it is biodegradable even when buried underground, and does not emit toxic gas even when incinerated, so it is attracting attention as an ECO material. It is also lightweight.
