About This Product

The 2-dimensional CdTe photon counting detector WERPAD (Wide Energy Range Pixel Array Detector) is a next-generation X-ray/gamma ray camera equipped with a photon counting circuit that can discriminate up to three types of energy, and uses an aluminum Schottky type CdTe sensor. This allows us to achieve high temporal stability, excellent energy resolution, and high-definition images.

■Features

・By using a Schottky-type CdTe semiconductor sensor that uses a platinum electrode on the incident surface and an aluminum microelectrode on the signal detection surface, the mobility and lifetime product are more than an order of magnitude higher than that of holes, and the charge collection efficiency is improved. Achieves high electronic collection operation ・Achieve high temporal stability by eliminating the influence of polarization with simple cooling conditions near room temperature ・Equipped with a compensation circuit that individually finely adjusts the gain and offset voltage of the amplifier circuit for each pixel, achieving maskless uniform image acquisition and wide energy linearity. ・Equipped with a 3-system energy discrimination circuit that limits the upper and lower energy limits by setting 6 threshold voltages, making it possible to simultaneously acquire 3 images with different energy bands with a single exposure. ・The counter is a 24-bit counter that can be reconfigured in 4-bit units (e.g., single energy deep dynamic range mode 24 bit, 2 energy discrimination 8 bit + 16 bit mode, etc.) ・Can manufacture large area type WERPAD2 with 4 integrated circuits bonded to 1 sensor (effective area 38.2mm x 40.2mm)
