Model Description

■ Type 4228 Pistonphone Type 4228 pistonphones provide quick and accurate calibration of acoustic measuring devices, including sound level meters. Using the attached air pressure gauge will satisfy the IEC 942 (1988) class 1L, and the external pressure monitor will meet the requirements of the IEC 942 (1988) class 0L. It also meets the requirements of Ansi S1.40-1984. It can be used under the wide range of temperature, humidity, and pressure of the site while maintaining high accuracy. Convenient to present the reference sound pressure level. ■ Usage examples ・ Laboratory standards ・ Calibration of sound level meters and other acoustic measurement devices ・ Use in outdoor and laboratory The calibration frequency of 250Hz is 251.2Hz ± 0.1 % as defined in ISO 266. The sound pressure level generated by the pistonphone is 124 ± 0.2 DB Re 20 UPA in the standard state. However, each pistonphone is proofreaded individually under uncertainty of less than 0.09 dB and is provided along with the calibration chart. When calibration of any of the specified types of microphones, the uncertainty is less than 0.12 dB. Due to the high sound pressure level from the pistonphone, proofreading can be accurately performed even in places where the surrounding noise is loud. The piston device is composed of two pistons attached to both sides of the cam disk based on its own design. Due to the rotation of the cam dysk, the piston repeats the cavity in the hollow in the equivalent. This design reduces the eccentric and hyperonic distortions of Cam Disk and guarantees the highest level of stability. Pistonphones can be easily operated with one control switch. Hold the pistonphone with one hand and adjust the gain of the acoustic measurement device until the reading price fits the pistonphone sound pressure level with the other hand. The pistonphones match 1 inch, 1/2 inches, 1/4 inches, 1/8 inch microphones and standard-based microfons (WE-640AA, MR103, etc.). Once a year, the air pressure correction is applied in DB in the range of 650 to 1,080 HPA, assuming that the accuracy of the pressure gauge attached to Pistonphones has been confirmed.
