■Summary ・We would like to introduce a high-performance thermal barrier paint that we have independently developed. This paint has the ability to effectively block radiant heat from high-temperature heat sources, and by using a low-outgassing binder and special high-reflectance aluminum, it exhibits excellent effects even though it is a thin film of only 1 to 3 μm. ・The low outgassing binder significantly reduces outgassing (smoke) at high temperatures, improving the safety of the working environment and maintaining the durability of the paint. ・Using special high-reflectance aluminum, it has extremely high reflective properties in the infrared region, which further enhances the heat shielding effect. ・This paint has the effect of increasing the heat shielding effect by coating metal parts such as stainless steel and iron. ■Measurement results A heat shielding coat was applied to one side (heat source side) of the heat shield plate, and the temperature of the opposite side was measured. The more effective the heat shield, the lower the temperature of the opposite side. We have successfully achieved a significant temperature reduction (approximately 20℃) compared to SUS304 plates. ・Heater temperature: 500℃ ・Power setting: 128.4V/1.12A ・Film thickness: 1-3μm - The heat source side base material uses SUS304 oxidized at 500℃. ■Application example Our thermal barrier paints also demonstrate excellent performance in applications such as heat shields and housings. Effectively reduces radiant heat from heat sources, reduces the risk of equipment and equipment failure, and improves efficiency. Although it is a thin film, it has a strong heat shielding effect, so it is expected to be used in a variety of industrial applications. ・Industrial machine casings: Apply to the casings of high-temperature equipment and machines to reduce heat intrusion into the interior, contributing to maintaining machine performance and extending the life of the machine. - Heat shielding for electronic components: Prevents heat from entering electronic devices, preventing damage and performance deterioration due to heat. ・Vehicle engine room: Used in the engine room of a car to block heat from the engine and protect electronic equipment.
