This high-performance coating has excellent durability and corrosion resistance in addition to the mold releasability characteristic of chrome plating. It is also recommended for punches for stamped locks where sticking is a concern and mortars that require corrosion resistance. If the coating becomes worn after tabletting under harsh conditions, it can be repaired and recoated. Unlike hard chrome plating, it is safe and does not use harmful hexavalent chromium.
