SUSPA's lockable gas struts ensure precise locking of all types of flaps and kinematic systems, providing a convenient opening and closing method. Thanks to diverse release systems and a wide range of connecting elements, lockable gas struts support individual applications. If springback is not desired, for example for safety reasons, a rigid lock is used in the direction of tension. For light applications where very high force loads are applied after locking, but compression is not allowed, locks that are rigid in the push direction are recommended. ■Advantages ・Balanced weight correction by adjusting or locking flaps ・Extensive lineup of gas springs with rigid locks - Rigid lockable gas spring can be installed in any orientation. ■Model HY4 Due to the arrangement of the oil chamber, the lock in the pushing direction is rigid up to the load limit of the machine, regardless of the filling force. The lock in the pulling direction remains rigid until a limit determined by the filling force is exceeded, so the separating piston moves in the direction of the gas chamber. Due to the relationship between the tube cross section and the piston rod cross section, the limit for the locking gas spring HY4 is 4.8 times the force F1. This allows applications where an extremely rigid lock in the push direction is required for additionally attached loads/weights. In the tensile direction, the above-mentioned limits of the rigid lock correspond to the ratio of the load to the dead weight of the application.
