SUSPA's lockable gas struts ensure precise locking of all types of flaps and kinematic systems, providing a convenient opening and closing method. Thanks to diverse release systems and a wide range of connecting elements, lockable gas struts support individual applications. If springback is not desired, for example for safety reasons, a rigid lock is used in the direction of tension. For light applications where very high force loads are applied after locking, but compression is not allowed, locks that are rigid in the push direction are recommended. ■Advantages ・Balanced weight correction by adjusting or locking flaps ・Extensive lineup of gas springs with rigid locks - Rigid lockable gas spring can be installed in any orientation. ■Models HY1 and HY3 Both models differ only in the diameter of the pressure tube. Due to the arrangement of the oil chamber, the lock in the pulling direction is rigid up to the load limit of the machine, regardless of the filling force. The lock in the pushing direction remains rigid until a limit determined by the filling force is exceeded, so the separating piston moves in the direction of the gas chamber. Due to the relationship between the tube cross section and the piston rod cross section, the limit is 3.6 times the force F1 for the locking gas spring HY1, and 5.8 times the force F1 for the locking gas spring HY3. This allows applications where a rigid lock is required for additionally attached loads/weights and another force accumulator is used in parallel with the gas spring. The above limits for rigid locks correspond to the load to dead weight ratio of the application.
