Doing so may damage both the tool and the material, and may result in injury. Vera's laser-cut tip has serrations. This prevents the screw head from "biting" and sliding off (cam-out). The come-out phenomenon is now a thing of the past. ■Laser chip The Vera laser tip is laser-processed to create a 1,000 HV 0.3 hard serration on the cutting edge. The biting effect created by its structure prevents it from coming out. Compatible with minus, Phillips, Pozidrive, and Torx screws. ■Reduction in contact load Vera laser chip processing reduces the surface pressure required when turning a screw with the screw head, improving torque transmission. It's a safer and easier job. ■Craft form The basic idea behind craft foam handle prototypes is to design the handle according to the shape of the hand. In 1960, Wera collaborated with the internationally renowned Fraunhofer Institute to develop a screwdriver handle that fits the shape of your hand. After a long period of development, Wera introduced the craft foam handle in 1968. Since then, new technology has updated the craft foam handle, but the shape remains the same. This is because the shape of the human hand remains unchanged. ■Prevent hand injuries The craft foam handle is designed to fit snugly in your hand and reduce strain on your hands. ■Positioning The hard material used for the handle prevents your hand from "sticking" to the handle, making it easier to grasp it again. The hard zone in the larger diameter part of the handle allows the driver to turn quickly like a wheel. ■"Take it easy" color-coding system Drivers are color-coded by tip shape.
