This is a method of cutting the product extruded from a cylindrical tube into sheets by making a cut at one point. There are two types of take-up methods: horizontal tubing and vertical tubing. Types with vertical tubing do not produce weld lines, but compared to horizontal tubing types, the pressure is higher, so the extrusion temperature tends to rise. Although this method is not suitable for a wide variety of products, it requires less capital investment compared to other methods. Since it is a cut-through method, caution is required when using highly viscous materials or thick sheets as warping may occur. Also, if the viscosity is low and the sheet is thin, it will elongate, so it is necessary to extrude to a thickness that takes this into account.
