Visualization laser illumination CAVILUX is characterized by incoherence, high power, short pulses and high repetition rate. Despite being a single-wavelength laser, it has a non-coherent design that produces no interference fringes and emits high-power, uniform light. The shortest pulse width is 20ns, allowing you to capture high-speed phenomena as blur-free images, and the repetition rate is up to 1MHz, allowing use in synchronization with high-speed cameras. Because it emits light in pulses, it can significantly reduce the effects of heat on the object being irradiated compared to continuous laser lighting. It is small, lightweight, and easy to use, and the light guide makes it easy to collect light. No need for cooling water, maintenance free, and excellent running costs. ■Features ・High power and brightness sufficient for visualizing welding to offset arc light, etc. ・Incoherent light source ideal for Schlieren shadow graph photography of shock waves and sprays ・Photographing the behavior of shock waves and inkjet droplets with short pulses without blurring Utilizing weld visualization ■See welding Normally, when observing welding, a bandpass filter is used to suppress the effects of arc light and fumes. However, the molten pool and surrounding area, solidification process, weld cracks, etc. cannot be confirmed in detail. The visualization laser light source CAVILUX can be used to observe any type of welding. CAVILUX cancels out arc light and fumes and enables detailed observation of the molten pool, its surroundings, and the solidification process. Various analyzes and measurements can be performed from captured images, leading to the reduction of welding defects. ■Application ・Laser welding ・TIG welding ・Arc welding ・MAG welding ・Fusing Various defect phenomena such as the state of the molten pool, spatter scattering, blowhole formation, and hot cracking can be visualized in detail, which is useful for elucidating the causes of defects.
