■ Features of new products & scintilators
Tokyo Ink Co., Ltd. has developed a plastic scintilator compatible with X -rays and γ -rays. The light emitting life is shorter than the inorganic scintilator, and the high -numbered rate rate is possible. Furthermore, it is a new plastic scintillator that can be used for X -rays and γ -rays as the inorganic scintilator by adding heavy metal ZR, HF and BI, respectively.
■ Additional concentration
By adding heavy metals, the absorption of X -rays and γ -rays can be enhanced. In addition, by increasing the metal concentration, the interaction between X -rays and γ -rays can be further improved to increase the detection efficiency. In addition, by performing special surface treatment, it maintains a highly transparent state even when metal is added.
On the other hand, the amount of photon is reduced when heavy metals absorb the scintillation light, but the photon amount (PH/MEV) is almost the same as the conventional plastic scintilator. The attenuation time and peak wavelengths do not change. For those who are considering changing the concentration depending on the application, we will provide individual density graphs. The standard product is 20%.
■ Light emission peak wavelength
・ Tokyo Ink scintilator peak wavelength: 386nm.
・ General plastic scintilator peak wavelength: 425nm.
The wavelength of the Tokyo Ink cinchlator uses a fluorescent body with a short luminous life. It is also possible to support 425nm. Please feel free to contact us.
