Cell extension stimulus system IN-VITRO culture mechanical extension stimulus (Strex)
Simulating cell extension / physical condition using a professional extension device
Alive cells exist in dynamic physical environments and change with various mechanical stimuli.
For example, cells such as cardiomyocytic cells, epithelial cells, smooth muscle cells, and bone cells are constantly expanding.
Cells understand the mechanical environment through receptors and channels called mechanical receptors, and respond to the stimulation of adhesive, growth, exercise, form, or artificial changes.
However, although there is no substitute for these stimuli under nature in the test tube analysis, the STREX cell extension device can be mechanically stimulated to the culture cells by adhered to a special PDMS stretch chamber and extending it. STREX has a long -term extension model with high productivity and a live cell imaging model that can be used by setting it on a inverted microscope.
Characteristics of cell extension stimulus culture device
Uniform load
The extension shaft is applied to all cells almost uniform (5 % or less) and achieves high reproducibility. However, the secondary load different from the axial direction is extremely low.
High reproducibility
With a high accuracy torque motor, the extension unit can be moved at various speeds and extension rates. With the stability of this behavior and the excellent characteristic silicone film chamber, the mechanical extension is highly reproducible regardless of extension speed and extension rate.
A wide range of extension patterns
By setting the extension rate and extension period of each of each, a total of 64 extension pattern programs can be set. Additional options can also support custom extension patterns such as high speed and high extension rate.
Special stretch chamber
Silicon PDMS chamber, developed for STREX products, promotes various analytical technologies, such as cell adhesions and fluorescent imaging.
