Distribution return type (DFB) semiconductor laser features a grating configuration built into the semiconductor, and works in a single mode in both vertical and horizontal mode. Wavelength tuning is possible by adjusting either laser current or chip temperature. Mode hop -free tuning is more than several hundred GHz. The application is effective for alkaline lighting analysis, laser cooling, gas detection and tunable CW terahertz light.
The DFB/DBR semiconductor laser can be incorporated into the DFB Pro.
