About This Product
■Wi-Fi Alliance certified Wi-Fi 6 compatible enterprise model
Compatible with the latest standard Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax), enabling high-speed communication with a maximum transfer rate of approximately 9.6Gbps (theoretical value). This is approximately 1.4 times faster than the previous generation Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac) and 16 times faster than Wi-Fi 4 (IEEE 802.11n), making it ideal for delivering high-resolution videos such as 4K and 8K and VR.・Browsing can be done smoothly.
■Suitable for various sites with excellent environmental resistance performance
The AP460 is the latest model in the environment-resistant access point series (the successor to the AP6562 and AP7562), which has been used in harsh environments for over 15 years. Since it is compatible with a wide range of temperatures from -40℃ to 60℃, it can be used in low and high temperature locations such as inside the freezer, cold regions, ironworks, and outdoors under the scorching sun.
■Supports both standalone and controller configurations
The model supports both stand-alone and controller configurations, so you can choose according to your usage.
■Built-in antenna and external antenna can be selected
Two models are available: the built-in antenna model "AP460i" and the external antenna model "AP460e". The advantage of having a built-in antenna is that it looks sleek and requires less installation space. On the other hand, the advantage of using an external device is that you can change the angle of the antenna to send radio waves in the desired direction.
■Autonomous control and security functions create a comfortable internet environment
It has an autonomous control function using AI (artificial intelligence) / ML (machine learning), and automatically switches the optimal frequency channel and antenna transmission power according to the wireless LAN radio wave conditions at the site. In terms of security, it supports WPA3 certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance.
■ Packed with convenient functions such as mesh relay and PoE power supply
The AP460 is equipped with a variety of enterprise features. For example, we support mesh networks that replace wired LAN by relaying packet data between wireless LAN access points, making it difficult to add or expand wireless LAN access points on site or to install wired LAN cables. It will be useful in some cases.
It also supports PoE power supply, which allows you to supply power to other devices while receiving power from the 802.3at (30W) PoE switch in the server room.
