The VRE3025 is recommended for use as a reference for 14-bit and 16-bit data converters that require an external precision reference. It is also ideal for calibrating scale factors in high-resolution data converters. VRE3025 has better performance than monolithic references.
■Explanation
The VRE3025 is a low cost, precision +2.5 V reference that operates from +10V. This device features a buried zener for low noise and excellent long-term stability. Packaged with 8-pin DIP or SMT options, this device is ideal for high-resolution data conversion systems. The device provides an ultra-stable +2.5V output with an initial accuracy of ±0.375mV and a temperature coefficient of 1.0 ppm/°C.
This increased accuracy is achieved through a unique patented multi-point laser correction technology. Other performance parameters such as initial accuracy, warm-up drift, line regulation, and long-term stability have also been significantly improved, making the VRE3025 series the most accurate reference.
To improve performance, the VRE3025 features an external trim option for users who require an initial error of less than 0.375mV. For ultra-low noise applications, an external capacitor can be installed between the noise rejection pin and the ground pin. Additionally, a 0.1μF ceramic input filter capacitor is recommended to ensure output stability.
