70 traces per second per second with a bandwidth of 2thz ■ Characteristics High -speed sweep players provide alternative DFBs (distributed feedback diodes) that are more important than frequency interpretation. As an example, a "frequency modulation continuous wave" (FMCW) terahertz system was built by combining a tunable laser that can be varied at high speed, wide bandwidth. This system, equipped with a state -of -the -art photo mixer, gets a spectrum with a bandwidth of 2 terahertz or more in less than 15 milliseconds. Like pulse systems, tracing averages can reduce noise floors and expand the available frequency range. The average of 2 minutes increases the bandwidth to 3.5thz or more. Users can easily set average number of average with control software, so you can optimize system performance for either the measurement speed, dynamic range, or bandwidth. An important difference from the pulse system is that the high-speed FMCW unit uses the INGAAS-based P-i-N photodiode as a terrahelzemitter, resulting in a peak of about 0.1THz, and a significant peak of the pulse spectrum 1.0THz peak. It is getting lower. Due to this low peak frequency, the signal generated in the high -speed FMCW unit has a higher penetration depth among many polymers and is a particularly attractive system for measuring thickness of samples. ■ Optional INGAAS PHOTOMIXERS
