Livox's Mid-360 is a 3D LiDAR that can measure a wide range of 360° horizontally and 59° vertically (-2° to 57°). Extremely compact and flexible for installation anywhere, it offers even more possibilities for designing the robot's appearance. The high-dimensional detection required in usage scenarios such as robot movement and obstacle avoidance has been taken into consideration, and it can be used indoors and outdoors.
■360° all around ultra wide viewing angle
Unlike traditional mechanical LiDAR, Mid-360 uses Livox's proprietary hybrid solid technology. For the first time, the horizontal viewing angle has been expanded to 360°, while the vertical viewing angle has also been increased to 59°. With this wide viewing angle, Mid-360 provides rich, comprehensive point cloud data for route calculation and decision-making in sensing complex 3D environments for mobile robots.
Small blind area, large performance
■Blind area <10cm
Mid-360's shortest measurement distance is 10cm. By installing the compact body, you can easily create a non-blind area.
■Active interference prevention
Mid-360 supports active interference prevention and can operate stably without interfering with each other even in complex indoor lidar environments.
■Outdoor strong light measures
Mid-360 has the performance of 70m@80% reflectance, and can operate seamlessly in both dark indoors and bright outdoors.
■New type of device, wide range of usage scenarios
Compared to the conventional single Lidar + TOF camera for developing navigation and obstacle avoidance functions, the appearance of Mid-360 can provide completely new options for developing the robot's surrounding sensing function. Mid-360 has a 360° x 59° ultra-wide FOV as a technological advantage, allowing you to collect more information in 3D sections, ensuring work safety and efficiency.
■Indoor sensing ability upgrade further improves operational efficiency
Compared to 2D single lidar, Mid-360 expands the sensing dimension to 3D. Collecting environmental feature points becomes more convenient, and the mapping work efficiency of mobile robots is greatly improved. Furthermore, the accuracy of Mid-360's angular resolution performance improves as time integration increases. The ability to detect small obstacles has been greatly improved, and it can be expected to play a role in ensuring safe robot operation.
