About This Product
This NTC thumbista temperature probe features a flat code cable with a length of 2m. The flat cable cable can be passed through the gaps of the closed sealing of the door and refrigerator.
The protection grade of the probe is IP 54, protecting the main unit from splashes when connecting to a measuring instrument or data logger.
The T99 of the NTC Thermista temperature probe (the response speed for probes to record 99%of the rise in temperature) is 8 seconds for the moving water of+60 ° C. It takes even more in the case of fluid liquids, paste, and gas*. *
* The response speed at the time of gas temperature is about 40 to 60 times faster than the temperature display when measuring the temperature of the water, but this probe has a slower response speed, but is more suitable for gas temperature measurement than the temperature sensor that is too sensitive. This probe is ideal if you do not measure a slight temperature change for a certain period of time. For example, when using this probe for measurement of the temperature in the refrigerator, it is not necessary to open the refrigerator door and instantly consider the temperature change caused by warm air entering the refrigerator.

Temperature measurement by thermista also uses the property that the resistance value of the sensor element changes depending on the temperature. However, unlike the measured temperature resistance type thermometer, the temperature coefficient is negative in the NTC thumista (that is, the resistance value decreases due to the rise in temperature). The characteristics and tolerance of thermista are not standardized.
