■Application
The VRE310 is recommended for use as a reference for 14-, 16-, or 18-bit D/A converters that require an external precision reference. It is also ideal for calibrating the scale factor of high-resolution A/D converters. VRE310 outperforms monolithic references.
■Description
The VRE310 is a low cost, high precision +10V reference. Available in industry standard 8-pin DIP or SMT, this device is ideal for upgrading systems using lower performance references. The device provides an ultra-stable +10V output with an initial accuracy of ±1.0mV (0.01%) and a temperature coefficient of 0.6ppm/°C.
This increased accuracy is achieved through a unique patented multi-point laser correction technology. Other performance parameters such as initial accuracy, warm-up drift, line regulation, and long-term stability have also been significantly improved, making the VRE310 series the most accurate reference available in a standard 8-pin DIP or SMT package. It has become.
To improve performance, the VRE310 features an external trim option for users seeking less than 0.01% initial error. For ultra-low noise applications, an external capacitor can be installed between the noise reduction pin and the ground pin. Additionally, in order to eliminate errors due to contact resistance of the socket, a ground terminal is provided as a reference.
