In addition to the direct measurement of pressure (p=F/A), this high-quality standard also offers very low measurement errors and long-term stability. Deadweight pressure balances (dead weight testers) have been used for many years in factories, calibration laboratories in the manufacturing industry, and national research institutes and laboratories.

In terms of operability, the pressure generator and purely mechanical measuring principle make the CPB5000 ideal for use in field repair and service work.
■Basic principle
The generated pressure is defined by the quotient of the vertical downward force and the effective cross-sectional area. As mentioned above, the main components of the weight type pressure balance CPB5000 are a precision-manufactured piston-cylinder system that operates in the direction of overload, allowing each measurement point to be measured. The load is proportional to the target pressure and can be obtained using an optimally graduated weight. As standard, these weights are manufactured with standard gravity (9.80655m/s^2), but can also be adapted to customer-specific installation locations as well as DKD/DAkkS calibrations.

- Calibration records that can be traced to national standards are included as standard, and DKD/DAkks calibration records are available as an option if necessary.
- Reliable over a long period of time, calibration is recommended once every five years.
-The weight is manufactured from stainless steel and aluminum and is adjustable to local gravity.
・The piston-cylinder system allows for quick and safe measurement range changes, and the patented ConTect system, which is easy to attach and detach, can be used as an option.
■Applications of pressure standards
・It is defined as a main standard with a pressure range of up to 100 bar (1,500 psi) for air pressure or 400 bar (5,000 psi) for hydraulic pressure based on gas pressure.
