Secopta's “fiberLIBS-Lab” model is a laser-based luminescence elemental analyzer. Conventional LIBS equipment has a slow laser repetition frequency, making bulk analysis and wide area mapping analysis time-consuming. This model is equipped with a 1,000Hz high repetition laser. Elemental analysis is possible at overwhelming speed.
Furthermore, since it has an automatic height measurement function, it is possible to always measure with the optimal focus, even on workpieces with uneven surfaces or improperly installed workpieces. Particularly powerful are bulk analysis and elemental mapping measurement applications. In bulk analysis, multi-point measurements can be performed in a short time and in-plane averaging can be quickly performed.
In mapping measurements, a wide area can be scanned in a short time. High-resolution elemental mapping images can be easily obtained by scanning a laser spot focused to 0.1 mm or less with an XYZ axis stage.
Software can be selected according to user level. You can choose between automation mode, which allows field workers to perform one-click measurements, and advance mode, which allows them to build analysis methods. Analysis software provides various analysis methods depending on the application. Quantitative analysis based on chemometrics and automatic classification using library matching can be performed.

■Slag analysis
Slag analysis in the steel industry requires a lot of effort and time for pre-treatment to homogenize the slag. Pre-treatment also requires specialized equipment such as milling and press machines and complicated work. fiberLIBS-Lab eliminates the need for these complicated pretreatments and allows speedy analysis with simple operations.
