About This Product
In the ROBA®-DS with cone bush connection, the disc packs are connected with a mating connection at the hub, flange or sleeve. Use a tension bolt to pull the outer cone bushing bolt into the conical hole provided in the disc pack mounting area and collar bushing. The conical shape creates a force that elastically expands the collar bushing and mounting area in the radial direction, ensuring a backlash-free connection of the disc pack.
Backlash-free interlocking connections require significantly less screw tightening torque compared to traditional friction joints, making assembly much easier.
Disc packs and sleeves can be installed and removed in the radial direction without moving each unit.

■Easy to install and remove
Mayr®'s ROBA®-DS disc pack couplings are robust, reliable and heat resistant. The product is particularly suitable for use in extreme environmental conditions and, furthermore, requires minimal maintenance effort due to its non-wearing nature.
Large ROBA®-DS disc pack couplings for high torque (rated torque range 22,000 ~110,000Nm) feature a mating conical connection for easy assembly. This conical connection acts as a power transmission and requires slightly less screw tightening torque compared to traditional friction engagement structures. This makes assembly and disassembly much easier, and there is no need to move drive units such as motors or transmissions to install or remove couplings.
