Generally, a magnetic sensor is able to detect a magnetic field and process its information, converting the results regarding the position, angle and strength (Hall effect) or direction (magnetoresistive) of the magnetic field into a specific output signal . Our magnetic sensor portfolio includes Hall switches, linear Hall sensors, angle sensors, 3D Hall sensors and magnetic speed sensors for applications in all sectors.
In addition, our product portfolio includes the XENSIV™ current sensor, a high-precision coreless sensor for a variety of industrial applications, such as industrial inverters, drive applications, or battery management. Our stable and robust monolithic Hall technology enables full-scale, highly accurate, and highly linear current measurements up to 120A.
Additionally, Infineon's open-loop coreless sensor principle technology eliminates disadvantages such as saturation and hysteresis that are commonly found in magnetic core-based sensor technologies.
