About This Product
The Terarange Evo product is a small TOF range sensor with a wealth of lineup of 3m/15m/40m/60m range. It can be used for short range measurement, collision prevention, etc. for drones/AGV/automation.
The Teraranger product is a compact design using TOF technology + distance measurement sensor (rangefinder) that can be used in various applications.
■ What is TOF technology?
TOF is an abbreviation of Time of Flight and refers to determining the distance using the speed of infrared light. Since the time difference of a constant light speed is always converted to distance, the detection accuracy is constant regardless of the distance, and a higher accuracy measurement is possible.
■ Main characteristics

-The sensor is a simple configuration of photodelon sensing devices (black part 9g) and interface backboard (yellow part 3g), and does not require complicated adapters or wiring.
・ Start simply by attaching USB and I2C / UART to the sensor. It is also possible to create a custom version for a specific application.
・ To enhance the convenience of the EVO series, it also supports ROS (robot operating system) and other OSs used in flight controllers.

Teraranger products can be used outdoors. In this video, Teraranger Tower Evo is used to detect obstacles by installing multiple sensors. If there are multiple obstacles, averaging the distance between the sides is detected to prevent multiple targets and prevent collisions.
