Detects earth leakage in two stages for up to 5 circuits
■Features
- Conforms to "JIS C 8374 Earth Leakage Relay".
・Ground fault protection can be achieved in two stages: light leakage and heavy leakage.
・Up to 5 circuits can be detected, and each detection unit (light leakage U-33 and heavy leakage U-34) detects one circuit. Please use space unit U-26 for unused circuits.
・The U-34 has a test switch and a reset switch, and can be reset all at once without removing the cover.
・Each detection unit has an operation display and a 1A contact, and there is also a 1A contact that is common to all circuits.
- Compliant with RoHS Directive.
■Operation
In combination with a zero-phase current transformer, it provides earth leakage protection for low-voltage distribution lines. If a leakage occurs in the load side circuit after the zero-phase current transformer is installed, an electromotive force will be generated at the secondary terminal of the zero-phase current transformer. This secondary output is distributed to the light leakage and heavy earth leakage detection units, and after adjusting the sensitivity of each, it is amplified by the amplifier circuit, the level detection circuit judges the magnitude, and the switching circuit operates the output contact and common contact. At the same time, the operation indicator lights up.
At this time, the light leakage is automatically reset, so when the leakage is resolved, the output contact and common contact will be restored and the operation indicator light will go out. Since heavy earth leakage is a manual reset method, even if the earth leakage is eliminated, the output contact and common contact will not be reset and the operation indicator will not turn off until the test/reset switch is turned to the reset side.
